The channels and headbox need an appropriate installation position. Posts, rooflines, uneven surfaces and doorways affect the layout. Have the opening assessed before relying on approximate measurements or assuming one blind can cover the whole area.

Consider how you will enter and leave the space when the blind is down. A practical division into openings can matter as much as the appearance of one wide screen.

Discuss glare, privacy and how much view you want to retain. Fabric colour and openness influence the result. Check samples against the actual outlook and remember that privacy can change when the outdoor area is lit at night.
